Can we wish all our families all they very best for 2010.
A big thank you to everyone for their cards, presents and messages of good wishes.
School opening
We took the decision to open school yesterday in order not to cause even more disruption to the children’s education and to parents who need to go to work.
The vast majority of you appreciate the school being open. However, two parents have complained about us being open on health and safety grounds. Can I please point out the path into school has been cleared and the children will not be going out to play, therefore they are quite safe.
We do understand however, if you have had problems getting here.
Guidance has been received from the authority that on this occasion, due to the extreme weather conditions any absences, due to parents unable to bring their child to school, will be classed as authorised.
School will be open as normal on Monday. If there is any deterioration in the weather over the weekend, school will advise parents via our school website of any changes (or contact school by telephone). Information is also available on the Wigan Council website on www.wigan.gov.uk and on BBC Radio Manchester - 95.1FM, Galaxy Radio – 102FM and WISH FM 102.4FM.

Nativity DVD’s

We are collecting plastic bottle tops to donate towards a charity that provide wheelchairs for people who cannot afford to buy one. If we collect the weight of a wheelchair in bottle tops the charity will swap them for a wheelchair. There is a box near the front entrance to put your donations in. Thank you.
